Jazzy soulful voice crooning Frank. Clarinet reminiscent of Billie Holiday blues. Strong drink: Swamp lily (mojito). Started here on Tuesday night Bourbon St. Crawl. Glad I did because I was coherent enough to actually appreciate the GOOD Jazz band. No cover; 1 drink per set minimum.

But then I found the Maison Bourbon. In the heart of Bourbon St., it seemed the exact opposite of its neighbors: quality drinks, an approachable staff and a diverse (mature) crowd.
So, I sat there, smiling and even a little misty-eyed, because I found exactly what I was looking for: New Orleans. And Bourbon St. is redeemed of its surrounding sins. Thanks to Ed. Thanks to Jamil Sharif. Thanks to the Maison Bourbon.
